The Story Behind Anfield & Ella: A Dream Turned Reality

It all started with a simple question from our mom: "If you could start any business, what would it be?" Without even thinking about it, we both said the same thing—a teen fashion brand. Why? Because finding clothes that truly reflect our style, personality, and faith while still being comfortable felt nearly impossible. We wanted something more than just trendy pieces—we wanted designs that feel like us.

Turning that dream into reality wasn’t as simple as picking out cute outfits. As sisters, we had to figure out how to create a brand we both loved and believed in. There were plenty of ideas (and, some passionate discussions) along the way, but we discovered that our different styles actually complemented each other, blending comfort, confidence, and faith into our designs.

That's how Anfield & Ella was born. People always ask us "Who is Ella?".  We both are! The name is extra special to us because both of our middle names end in “-ella”—Mae Isabella and Abigail Gabriella. Isabella means "God is my oath" and Gabriella means "God is my strength." But the reason we chose "Ella" as part of our brand goes beyond that, "Ella" means "devoted to God." This meaning fits perfectly with the purpose of our brand, which is all about creating designs that remind us to stay true to our faith and purpose.

After deciding to build a brand, we dove headfirst into learning everything we could about fashion. From attending a summer fashion camp to taking sewing classes, we explored the creative process from sketches to stitching. Each step brought us closer to understanding the business of fashion.

Now, after months of hard work, research, and planning, we're beyond excited to finally launch Anfield & Ella! Every piece in our collection is a reflection of who we are and what we stand for—comfort, confidence, and purpose. We hope you love our designs as much as we loved creating them!

With love,
Mae & Abigail
